A lookback to 2017

Started 2018 with a busy ass because we are literally having a new year, new life!Tough and challenging, but I know it will be worth it!
I want to remind myself of the good things that happened all year round. It is good as saying 'counting my blessings'--the gift of family and friends, life's many blessings, lessons learned, answered prayers and unbelievable surprises.
For all that it was,I only have gratitude in my heart.Sikik, liglig, umaapaw! :)
Well, I believe that when you are thankful for what you have, you'll end up having more.
God multiplies it in unexpected ways.

So looking back,we started 2017 with overflowing love and lifetime commitment.
That in front of God and with the people we love most, finally, after
almost 10 years, we got married one beautiful day in January.Of course in Baguio where all the love started.

One of the constant things I am most thankful for is having a supportive family.Yung lahat ibibigay just to make and see you happy.Masasabi ko na napakaswerte ko sa magulang, and I will do everything just to make them happy and proud as well.
This year gave us a chance to travel with my parents and with Shamae!Yes,in Boracay!
Planned to spend the holidays in UAE,but God has greater plans.

Spent our honeymoon in a snowy gorgeous Georgia. We actually dream of a Eurotrip, but can't afford.Thank God, He still granted our wish to spend it in a border near Europe in a cheaper way.Still,a dream come true!Eurotrip, not giving up on you!hehe*wink*

I thank 2017 for surrounding me with another constant in life. Its a bunch of good people I consider my family away from home.To celebrate birthdays with,to laugh out loud and to eat as much! Our real life referees  when Mark and I were not on the same page.Minsan we have to take God's detour  so that we wont miss meeting and spending time with one in a million kind of friends or more of a family.I can genuinely say that,I am so blessed to have them around and will always be a friend to them even if we are miles away now.(Can I insert Toni somewhere here?!)

It is a year of good goodbyes.Katulad ng parati kong sinasabi, working in NMC is working with the bests in the field. Im grateful to be working with these hardworking asses here!Hypocrisy aside,I wont miss NMC  but will definitely miss working with you! :D

2017 is a great year spent with great friends.Nothing beats spontaneous trips with these peeps.Went for a chilly night swimming on a rooftop, chase a beautiful sunset, and spent a day in a museum.

This year  made me realize who my true friends are.Hindi man ako mayaman sa pera pero I think mayaman ako sa kaibigan.hahaha!Friends that are willing to lend  a hand at a drop of a hat.
I always thank God for Ana banana and Dawn pepot.Of course I am thankful to those who help us just to push through with my dreams. As always, mommy mama&papa. My ever maasahang Tita Jackie,Tito Peping and Tita Esther who without any hesitations help us along the way.My Anti Mellet who is truly a giver,Manang Meshel and Anti Meling who have hearts of gold.

Of course, I am forever grateful to Ate Karen,Ms.Anne and Ms Tess Sir Gary and Sir Dale
Wouldn't be enjoying the cold Kentucky weather if not because of you.Thank you for believing in me!

And to those who closed their doors,I learned a lesson or two! :)

For me,2017 is a year of working out my career move. Most of you for sure will only see the tip of an iceberg. But I'll tell you its hardwork. In fact, I failed my first attempt in IELTS.And its frustrating for me to fail an exam.haha! But thank God for my husband who pushed me to take it one more time! But that doesn't stop there,I wasn't picked in the H1b lottery where most of my friends were luckily chosen.Yes, simply I feel fucked up!Ika nga sa hashtag ko dito, marami akong sh*tdays.Nevertheless,it proves to be a blessing in disguise.Little did I know, God loves me this much that He gives me what I need and not what I wanted so bad.Through Him,things do have a way of working out wonderfully in the end.

Who would have thought na yung one-liner bucketlist ko sa
journal ko na "Spend the New Year in New York" came true this year. And not just that,God stays faithful to his promise in Ruth 1:16( Where you'll go,I'll go.Where you'll stay,I'll stay),with that big career move,He let me bring my husband with me.You are amazing God!

And the cherry on top is spending the last days of 2017 with this welcoming family.Cool, generous and warm-hearted ones.Spent the last days braving the numbing cold in NYC and did the countdown to 2018 with our glittery glasses on. I couldn't be more grateful for this family! You are one of a kind!

Ended the year right with a good friend,Luigi who travelled the extra mile just to meet us.We are truly blessed with the best people wherever we are.Nakakaamaze how God's plan works. And will always pray for these kind of people. So humble and so giving.

I am thankful for surrounding me with a bunch of helpful medtechs here in KY who guide us and who are always willing to give us a free ride!

2017,many times you took my breath away. There are days that I had to gasp for air to get through tough days. But then again, they were balanced out by those that were just unbelievably beautiful.

We are never really completely ready for big things, but somehow with a
prayer I have jumped into many little adventures trusting(and maybe quietly knowing) that 2018 will bring sunshine and surprises and making every moment counts.

For all that, I am grateful.

Thank you Lord God.You are the reason why Im writing this.Thank you for surrounding me with your angels in disguise!I love you, always!
