Bente-Tres

As i grow a year older, life offers me not a candle on top of a piece of cake.Rather,it offers me a cherry on top of an icecream. My year's mantra: Don't think outside the box, think like there is no box!Be bold, issa!:)

22.The number between life-as-you-know-it and what will later be known as "real" life.It doubles the happiness, the challenges, and the lessons.

They say it's pathetic to age without learning. 22 taught me oodles of lessons. Here were bits  of wisdom I learned along with being twenty-two..By the way,I learned some the hard way.

1.You've got to do your own growing,no matter how tall your grandfather was.
-I have tasted the bittersweet of being independent.Working away from the comforts of home. From being someone who wakes up with a food on the table to someone who do the laundry, cook the food, earned my own money and put it on a purse-bugging budget.I become more aware of the mundane minutiae of real life.Indeed, growing up starts at the end of your comfort zone.

2.If you are irritated with every rub,how will you be polished?
- I used to be someone who wants high grades, who craves to be the number one,who sets high standards. And hates to be bark up when i did petty mistakes.I am easily irritated in every scratch.I learned, that in real life you will meet people who will make you feel like you are the most stupid person they have ever met.I have met a lot of them.Prove it yourself that every rude rub is equivalent to someone who gets better and even best.At the end of the day,you will thank them for what you have become.

3."Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it,even if they don't see it nearly enough."
I am not a fan of long distance relationship. But I believe in it.I have all the the guts to oppose Ramon Bautista with his book I  have read.Having someone who is as committed to you as you are to them even when you are 4,000miles away from each other and only see one another at most  twice a year is a rare thing. There are days that I get paranoid, jealous and doubt the distance, but i never ever doubt the love we have for each other. To that I think is the thing that keeps us still kicking for 6 years!

4. Don't demand your own parking place.Demanding respect is like chasing a butterfly.Chase it and   you'll never catch it.
I spend most of my time at the lab.Surrounded with people who makes me laugh and shows me how to be a sensible professional but equally surrounded with people who irritates me at the same time.(I don't need to sugar-coat things out)..There are those who demands respect  and don't even proves that he/she deserves it.On the other side,I learned that you have to do your thing with your best foot forward and you'll never have a hard time catching the hard-sought butterfly.

6. I have learned that having a happy family is worth more than all the wealth and riches we could accumulate in our lifetime.
My favorite people. They are those people who I laugh my ass out and fart as loud as I can .I am blessed to have a papa who still kisses me on the forehead and hugs me every time I go home. And have a mama who gives me blanket at dawn while asleep. And a brother who seems to be my secret keeper. There are days that I don't go to work because they demand more time from me.Same reason why one time I was sent at the chief's office.I always stick on this:Hold on to whatever keeps you happy.I will never trade the time spent with my family for just 500 pesos..I don't want to feel  what Vice Ganda once shared on TV.Success is measured with the happiness you share with your family.

7.God sends you a parcel with your name on it,in his most unexpected ways.
I received mine lately! If I just can hug him the tightiest,i will.I am hugely grateful to Papa God for giving me all the things I needed the most.He truly knows my heart's desires.

Live your life, take chances, be crazy. Dont wait cause right now is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll be ever again.Life keeps getting better. Im really excited for what's in store for me this year. Thank you Lord for all the blessings!! You rock! :)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Everytime I celebrate my birthday, I feel extra special for having amazing people in my life.Great family(I can't ask for more),crazy and real friends,my Mark for loving me this much. And of course a GOD who makes me feel I'm his favorite.I love you,Lord!

Amidst the heavy rains, you make my 23rd birthday a warmer one!Thank you for all the greetings!
:)
